coffee bowl - blue and white - birds + vessels + trees + fish
This coffee bowl is painted with underglazes. The interior is a glossy celadon and the exterior is unglazed, polished porcelain. It feels a bit like a weathered stone--the porcelain is vitrified (sealed) and it will not stain.
4'“ h x 5”w, it holds around 16 ounces
I call it a coffee bowl and it holds a latte made with a double pot of espresso and a generous amount of milk, or can fill it with tea, or maybe even granola, a generous serving of ice cream—or maybe a flower!
Each piece is thrown on the potters wheel and will vary slightly.
You may wash them by hand or in the dishwasher. If you drink a lot of tea, like I do, the inside will stain over time--but this is easily removed with an abrasive scrubbing (I use those dark green scouring pads commonly found in the grocery store--we call them "green scrubbies").
